Swissport takes over ASKY's ground and cargo handling services

Swissport, one of the three main ground handling companies in Ghana, effective today, March 1, 2024, becomes the new ground handling company for ASKY Airlines in Ghana.

The company, AviationGhana, can confirm, will now handle all passenger and cargo services for the Togo-based airline.

Gerald Suckling, Managing Director of Swissport, confirmed the new addition to their portfolio to AviationGhana. “This is a huge contract for Swissport and is fully in line with our strategy to grow and support the West African market with a heightened level of service that will attract more carriers to the shores of Ghana.

Swissport was incorporated in 1996. Today, the company is the global leader in airport ground services and air cargo handling, both based on revenue and the number of airports served.

By the end of December 2023, Swissport was operating at 286 airports in 44 countries, including Ghana.The company has been operating in Ghana since 2015.
