This new route will operate three times a week, utilizing the state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, which IndiGo has secured through a wet/damp lease from Norse Atlantic Airways.
The introduction of this route marks a significant expansion of IndiGo’s international network, making Copenhagen its 44th international destination and 138th overall. Indian travelers can look forward to a range of flying options, including the comfortable Economy class and IndiGo’s premium service, IndiGoStretch. Passengers will enjoy complimentary hot meals and beverages, along with access to an impressive in-flight entertainment system featuring nearly 300 hours of content.

Tickets for these flights are now available for purchase across various platforms, including IndiGo’s official website and mobile app, as well as through authorized travel partners.
Pieter Elbers, IndiGo’s Chief Executive Officer, expressed his enthusiasm about the launch, stating, “With the growing demand for travel between India and Northern Europe, we are delighted to connect Mumbai to Copenhagen, marking IndiGo’s entry into the Scandinavian region. This expansion strengthens our presence in Europe, offering Copenhagen as a gateway to the Nordic region for Indian travelers. With every new international destination—Copenhagen being our 44th—we are moving closer to our vision of becoming a trusted global airline, giving wings to the nation and increasingly to the world.”
Copenhagen, hailed as one of Northern Europe’s most vibrant capitals, is a hub of culture, innovation, and commerce. Renowned for its design-driven lifestyle, rich history, and commitment to sustainable urban planning, Copenhagen also provides convenient onward connections to Sweden, Norway, and the wider Scandinavian region. For Indian travelers, this direct link enhances access to the Nordics, fostering trade, education, and tourism ties between India and the region.
This development positions IndiGo as a key player in enhancing connectivity and promoting travel opportunities between India and Northern Europe, a move that promises to benefit both regions significantly.
