Prof. Kobby Mensah Appointed CEO of Ghana Tourism Development Company Ltd. | By Dominick Andoh | In a significant move for the country’s tourism sector, Prof. Kobby Mensah, a renowned expert in tourism marketing and an Associate Professor at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Tourism Development Company Limited.

Prof. Mensah’s extensive competencies in general communications, campaign management, and social media strategy highlight his suitability for this pivotal role. He is known for his expertise in converting online engagement into tangible, on-the-ground results, along with his strong background in media relations, event planning, and customer service team development.

Throughout his career, Prof. Mensah has achieved notable successes in marketing campaign development and streamlining organizational processes to enhance corporate brand identity. He is proficient in various technologies, including the Microsoft Office suite, teaching and research applications, and social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and Google+. He is a certified MAXQDA Trainer. He has within the last decade, championed the promotion, growth, and training of the next generation of tourism leaders in Ghana through the Destination Legon tourism marketing initiative.

Prof. Mensah is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK, and actively participates in the Political Marketing Specialist Group (PMSG), leading the Ghana Political Marketing Group (Ghana PMG).
