ASKY, the leading Pan-African carrier based in Lomé, is set to launch a new three-times weekly service between Accra and Nouakchott, further expanding its footprint across West and Central Africa. The new route—Accra–Nouakchott via Lomé—will commence on August 2, 2025, and will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Return flights from Nouakchott to Accra Via Lomé will be available on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, offering travellers convenient options for both business and leisure.

This latest addition strengthens ASKY’s growing status as a truly Pan-African airline, with connections that now span nearly every major destination across West and Central Africa, as well as into East Africa, including Kenya.

Mr. Worlanyo Afadzinu, Country Manager of ASKY Airlines in Ghana, noted that the new route is part of the airline’s ongoing commitment to facilitating intra-African trade, tourism, and connectivity.

“We are committed to making it easier for people and businesses to move across Africa. Connecting West, Central, and East Africa has not only boosted trade and investment, but also made tourism across the continent more accessible,” Mr. Afadzinu said.

The Accra–Nouakchott route provides Ghanaian travellers with greater access to Mauritania, an emerging destination for both tourism and resource-driven business, while also enabling travelers from Mauritania to connect through Lomé to key commercial hubs such as Abidjan, Lagos, Douala, Libreville, Kinshasa, and Nairobi.

This development is expected to enhance regional integration under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and support the ECOWAS vision for a more connected West Africa.

ASKY operates a fleet of modern Boeing and Bombardier aircraft, with a focus on punctuality, affordability, and safety. The new service also complements ASKY’s strategic partnership with Ethiopian Airlines, further enhancing its operational capabilities and regional reach. The ticekts for the Nouakchott flights are up for sale and travellers can book their flights via ASKY’s official website, partner agencies, or visit the ASKY Ghana office in Accra.
