GACL Apologizes over technical hitch at Terminal 2 | By Patrick Acheampong | The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has apologized for a technical hitch that left passengers who had arrived in Accra from Kumasi on Passion Air flight 143 stranded.
After disembarking, the passengers were unable to access the arrival hall due to a locked door at the main arrival gate of Terminal 2 of the Kotoka International Airport (KIA), Accra.
The GACL in a statement issued in Accra on April 7, 2025, apologized for the hitch and promised to institute disciplinary action against officials responsible.
“It has come to the attention of Management of Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) that on Monday, 7th April 2025, passengers who had arrived on Passion Air flight 143 from Kumasi at 0756hrs were unable to access the arrival hall due to a locked door at the main arrival gate of Terminal 2, Kotoka International Airport (KIA). Management of GACL extends sincere apologies to passengers who experienced the operational hitch on arrival at KIA.
The cause of the hitch is being investigated by Management following which measures including necessary disciplinary action will be meted out to ensure such incidents do not recur.”
