The Chairman of the Ghana Airports Company Divisional Union, part of the Public Services Workers Union of TUC, Alhaji Abdul Issaka Bamba, announced in a media interview that following the closure of McDan Aviation’s Private Jet Terminal at Terminal 1 of Kotoka International Airport (KIA) due to outstanding debts of approximately $3 million, the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) will focus on the CIP Terminal Operator and other partners to retrieve all outstanding debts. This statement was made on Monday, December 30, 2024.
The CIP (Commercially Important Person) Terminal, constructed as part of Terminal 3, was initially planned to be managed by the GACL, given its higher revenue-yielding potential. However, it is currently under private management, with National Security providing security oversight and support.
Adults pay $450 each to use the lounge, while 12-17-year-olds pay $389, and children aged 5-11 are charged $189. Children under 5pay $89 to access the facility.
The terminal provides premium service for individuals of commercial significance. It offers priority assistance, including expedited check-in, fast-tracked security clearance, lounge access, and personalized support, all designed to elevate your travel experience.
