Global IT Glitch: Kotoka Airport fully operational – GACL | The Ghana Airports Company Limited ( GACL) has assured the travelling public that the Kotoka International Airport remains fully operational and received all scheduled passenger flights except one yesterday, Friday, July 19, 2024, despite a global IT glitch that caused disruptions and delays around the world.
The airport management company, in a statement copied to AviationGhana, said its systems were unaffected.
“We would like to assure the general public that Kotoka International Airport’s IT systems are intact. However, due to the global nature of the glitch, some flight delays and interruptions may be experienced from countries affected by the glitch, which may have a slight impact on Accra.
So far, out of our 24 International airlines operating at KIA, only one has had to cancel some of its scheduled flights. All other operations are uninterrupted and on schedule as usual.
Management will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates to the travelling public as necessary,” the statement said.
