PassionAir receives first local-based CAMO certification from GCAA

PassionAir receives first local-based CAMO certification from GCAA | Accra-based domestic airline operator PassionAir has received the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) certification from the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).

This certification from the aviation sector regulator marks a significant milestone. It is the first time the GCAA has issued CAMO certification to a Ghanaian company.

CAMO serves as an independent unit within an airline, ensuring that all continuing airworthiness and safety activities concerning aircraft and their components are effectively managed.

With this new certification, PassionAir is not only enhancing its operational standards but also expanding its capabilities to offer CAMO services to third-party operators.

The company, in a statement issued in Accra, Ghana and copied to AviationGhana.Com, said this achievement underscores PassionAir’s commitment to maintaining the highest levels of safety and airworthiness in the aviation sector.

“We congratulate the entire PassionAir team for their dedication and hard work in reaching this significant accomplishment,” the statement said.
