Pro-Park takes over Kotoka Airport Parking from Servest

By Dominick Andoh | Pro-Park takes over Kotoka Airport Parking from Servest . Pro Park has recently taken over the management of the car parks at Kotoka International Airport from Servest, the South African company specialising in car park management.

As a part of the transition, the Servest card dispenser machines have been rebranded to Pro Park.

It’s worth noting that while the machines have been rebranded, the cards dispensed still feature the Servest logo, a remnant of the prior management.

The charges for parking are dependent on the duration of parking and the specific car park used.

Visitors to the car parks can conveniently obtain a parking ticket by visiting the card dispenser located at the entrance of Parks 2, 3, and 4 and simply pressing a knob to receive a card or ticket.

Car park non-aeronautical revenue is crucial for the airports manager, The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), as it plays a significant role in their overall financial stability and sustainability. Airports face high operational and maintenance costs, and non-aeronautical revenue streams, such as parking fees, help diversify their income sources beyond traditional aeronautical revenues such as passenger charges.

Parking facilities often provide the most visible link to the airport experience. When designed and managed effectively, they can enhance customer satisfaction, encouraging repeat travel.

Airports with well-structured parking options can capitalize on increased passenger volumes, especially during peak travel seasons.
