SAA increases flight frequency to Accra for Peak Festive Season | South African Airways (SAA) is to offer two additional flights on the Johannesburg-Accra route to meet growing demand during the upcoming festive season.
Starting on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, SAA will increase frequency on the Johannesburg-Accra route from the current four (4) flights per week to six (6) total weekly frequencies. The new flight days are Wednesdays and Fridays.
These seasonal uplifts, culminating on 11 February 2026, are designed to offer customers greater flexibility, convenience, and choice during one of the busiest travel periods of the year.
Whether travelling for family reunions, business, or cultural celebrations such as Detty December. SAA is proud to connect Africa to the world with warm, authentic African hospitality.
Mr. Tebogo Tsimane, SAA’s Chief Commercial Officer, noted in a press release copied to AviationGhana that “South African Airways is strengthening its network with more flights, more frequencies, and more opportunities to connect Africa to the world. We are aiming higher to serve our customers better this festive season.”
