Boeing Delivers 150 Aircraft in Q2 2025, Marking Strong Recovery | Boeing has reported the delivery of 150 commercial aircraft in the second quarter of 2025, marking its strongest quarterly performance since 2023 and a significant recovery from the challenges that have plagued the company in recent years.
The figure represents a substantial increase from the 92 aircraft delivered in the same period last year. With this latest update, Boeing has delivered a total of 280 commercial aircraft in the first half of 2025, signaling the company’s renewed operational momentum and supply chain stability under the leadership of CEO Kelly Ortberg.
June alone accounted for 60 aircraft deliveries, including eight jets to Chinese airlines—the first since Beijing lifted a temporary hold on aircraft deliveries amid recent trade and regulatory tensions. The resumption of deliveries to China is seen as a key milestone for Boeing’s global rebound.
In North America, Southwest Airlines took delivery of 10 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft in June, part of a broader trend of airline fleet renewal efforts as the aviation industry continues to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and associated supply disruptions.
In addition to its commercial success, Boeing’s Defence, Space & Security division also recorded a strong performance with the delivery of 36 aircraft during the quarter. These included Apache helicopters, Chinooks, F-15s, F/A-18s, and five KC-46 aerial refueling tankers, surpassing delivery figures from the same period in 2024.
The strong second-quarter performance comes after a difficult period for the U.S.-based aerospace giant, which had faced numerous setbacks over the past five years. These included the global grounding of its 737 MAX fleet due to safety concerns, production slowdowns, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and a widely publicized door plug incident in January 2024 that raised further scrutiny over manufacturing and quality assurance processes.
However, the recent uptick in deliveries is being viewed by analysts and industry stakeholders as a vote of confidence in Boeing’s restructuring and quality reform measures, with improvements in production discipline, regulatory compliance, and customer service.
Boeing is expected to release its full Q2 financial results on July 29, offering deeper insights into how the delivery performance has impacted revenue and long-term strategic goals.
