Ghana’s Tourism Minister urges GTDC  to drive growth | By Patrick Acheampong | Ghana’s Tourism Minister, Madam Ablah Dzifa Gomashie, recently embarked on a working visit to the Ghana Tourism Development Company Limited (GTDC), the primary commercial arm of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture.

During her visit, she emphasized the crucial role that GTDC’s newly appointed leadership plays in advancing the country’s tourism sector, aligning their efforts with both the Ministry’s vision and that of President John Dramani Mahama.

In her address, Madam Dzifa Gomashie urged the GTDC team to channel their efforts into developing Ghana’s rich tourism offerings and enhancing the sector’s overall performance. She expressed confidence in the new leaders’ capabilities to navigate the challenges ahead and seize opportunities for growth.

Prof Kobby Mensah, recently appointed as the Managing Director of GTDC, reiterated his commitment to revitalizing the tourism sector. He pledged to work diligently to meet the expectations placed upon him and to transform the company into a profitable venture.

Under his leadership, GTDC aims to implement innovative strategies that enhance the travel experience in Ghana and bolster the nation’s position as a premier tourist destination in West Africa.

With both the Minister and the new GTDC leadership focused on elevating Ghana’s tourism landscape, the sector’s future looks promising as it strives to attract more visitors and showcase the country’s vibrant culture and attractions.
