Visionary Aviation Entrepreneur Marwan Traboulsi Passes Away | By Dominick Andoh | The Ghanaian aviation and logistics industry is mourning the loss of Marwan Traboulsi, a pioneering entrepreneur whose work transformed Ghana’s role in international trade and air cargo. He passed away in London on Tuesday, September 30.

Born in Accra to the late Amin and Sybil Traboulsi, Marwan built a career marked by innovation, determination, and a strong belief in Ghana’s potential. He first gained recognition in agribusiness, co-founding FARMEX, which turned mango and pineapple plantations into an international brand.

His vision went beyond farming to addressing Ghana’s export logistics challenges. Traboulsi founded Air Ghana, which expanded air cargo opportunities for Ghanaian produce and linked local farmers with markets across Europe.

These initiatives helped position Ghana as a regional logistics and aviation hub, fostering trade, job creation, and international connections.

He will be remembered as a visionary leader whose courage, generosity, and foresight created opportunities for many Ghanaians. His legacy lives on through the businesses he built and the lives he impacted.

A press release issued in Accra by Air Ghana Management and copied to AviationGhana said the late Marwan Traboulsi is survived by his wife, Karen; his children, Cara and Karim; and four grandchildren.

“A Book of Condolences has been opened at the Ghana Airport Cargo Centre (Ground Floor). Funeral arrangements will be announced in due course,” the releases said.
