BA issues travel advisory to Ghanaian Passengers Returning Home | By David Kwakutse | Ghanaian travellers planning to return home via British Airways are advised to prepare for significant disruptions due to planned road closures on the M25 and A3 motorways this March and April.

British Airways has issued an urgent advisory for passengers travelling through Heathrow and Gatwick Airports, highlighting the potential for delays.

The M25, a vital route for airport access, will see full closures in both directions between Junctions 9 and 10 on two weekends in March. The specific closure times are as follows:

March 7, 9:00 PM to March 10, 6:00 AM– Complete closure between Junction 10 and Junction 11 at Chertsey. March 21, 9:00 PM to March 24, 6:00 AM – Another full closure in the same area. These closures may result in significant traffic congestion for travellers heading to Heathrow and Gatwick.

In addition to the M25 disruptions, the A3 will also experience closures in April. Key dates include:

April 11, 9:00 PM to April 14, 6:00 AM– Full closure in both directions between Junction 10 and the Painshill roundabout.

Travellers using British Airways, as well as other airlines like EasyJet, Jet2, TUI, and Ryanair, are strongly encouraged to allow extra travel time and consider alternative routes to avoid delays. National Highways recommends checking live traffic updates to plan journeys effectively and minimize potential disruptions as they return to Ghana.
