Brussels Airlines Celebrates 10 Years of Connecting Ghana and Belgium | Brussels Airlines is celebrating a significant milestone, 10 years of uninterrupted service between Brussels Airport and Accra, marking a decade of partnership, growth, and cultural connection between Ghana and Belgium.

Since its inaugural flight to Accra in 2015, the airline has grown from a newcomer in the Ghanaian aviation market to a trusted and reliable bridge between Europe and West Africa. Today, Brussels Airlines operates daily flights to and from Accra, giving passengers convenient access to one of Africa’s most dynamic destinations and reinforcing the airline’s deep commitment to the Ghanaian market.

Speaking on the anniversary, Ilse Adriaen, Country Manager for Brussels Airlines Ghana, expressed gratitude to customers and partners for their support over the past decade.

“As we celebrate this important milestone, I would like to thank our passengers, partners, and colleagues in Ghana and Belgium. Here’s to the next decade of connection, collaboration, and growth,” she said.

Appointed earlier this year, Ms. Adriaen brings a wealth of experience to her role, having previously served in leadership positions with Brussels Airlines in Benin, Burkina Faso, and Côte d’Ivoire.

Beyond aviation, Brussels Airlines’ engagement in Ghana has extended to community and sustainability initiatives. The airline has supported eco-tourism in the Volta Region through biking and hiking programmes, while also promoting Ghana’s cultural heritage and local development.

The airline’s decade-long success in Ghana is also a reflection of its strong sub-Saharan African network, one of the most extensive in the airline’s history. Brussels Airlines, part of the Lufthansa Group, continues to play a leading role in connecting Europe and Africa, a relationship built on trust, heritage, and shared progress.
