Turkish Airlines plans flights to Lomé, Togo

By Dominick Andoh | Turkish Airlines plans flights to Lomé, Togo. Turkish Airlines, based in Istanbul, has recently identified Lomé, the capital of Togo, as one of the new destinations it plans to include in its flight network.

The airline currently services 62 cities in 41 countries in Africa and is looking to introduce flights to various new destinations, including Aswan in Egypt, Brazzaville in the Republic of the Congo, Hargeisa in Somaliland, Lomé in Togo, Port Sudan in Sudan, Salalah in Oman, and Windhoek in Namibia.

Furthermore, Turkish Airlines, in its list of future destination released, is also seeking to add Abha, a city in Saudi Arabia, to its list of Middle East destinations.

As of this year, the Star Alliance member operates scheduled services to an extensive network of 272 destinations across continents, including Europe, Asia, Oceania, Africa, and the Americas. This extensive reach solidifies Turkish Airlines’ position as the largest mainline carrier globally regarding the number of passenger destinations offered.

The airline recently announced that it will offer unlimited and free Wi-Fi to all passengers across its entire fleet.

The carrier signed a memorandum of understanding with Türkiye’s state-owned satellite company Türksat and the airline’s subsidiary TCI Aircraft Interiors at the Farnborough Airshow in Britain.

Turkish Airlines said that the two-year project to deploy high-speed connectivity across its fleet will begin by the end of 2024.

In Ghana, Turkish Airlines operates ten (10) flights per week to and from Accra, Ghana.
